1st Grade Teacher

Carrie Abreu graduated from Notre Dame Academy and Assumption University in Worcester, MA with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a certificate in the Honors Program and a certificate in the Foundations of Western Civilization Program.  She joined the St. Aloysius community in 2016 as the After School Program Coordinator.  With a background in science and a real love for Biology, Carrie became the 7th and 8th grade science teacher in 2017, teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics.  In 2019, she became the Kindergarten and 1st grade aide and is now the 1st grade teacher.   Carrie strongly believes in a hands-on, STEM based education, so she runs the ever-popular after school STEM Club.  Carrie is currently working on her Master’s degree in School Psychology.  In her free time, Carrie enjoys spending time with her 4 Bichon Frises Muffin, Cookie, Jellybean and Peppermint, and competing in AKC conformation dog shows. Back to “Our Staff” page.
